announcements, contributions, inquiries, and especially discussion! You may wish
to share your questions, latest research, leadership course descriptions, calls
for papers, conference announcements, or other information of interest to the
leadership community. Volume on this listserv varies, ebbing and flowing with
discussion.

For those of you who don't know Cara, she has been a member of
the ILA since the very beginning and attended and/or presented at six ILA
conferences, beginning as far back as our second annual conference in Toronto in
2000. Last year, she arranged funding for a group of undergraduate students
from her university to attend the ILA in Vancouver.
Cara has
contributed to leadership education as a researcher, staff member, consultant,
and instructor. In 2004, she was awarded the American College Personnel
Association’s Annuit Coeptis award for exemplary contributions to
leadership studies. She has published several articles and book reviews
pertaining to socially responsible leadership, gender dynamics, and social
change. In addition to serving on the facilitation team for the LeaderShape
Institute, Cara has delivered numerous presentations, workshops, and
keynotes on topics related to leadership education. She was also responsible for
the creation of a comprehensive leadership program, where she was Director of
the Office of Student Involvement at Rollins University. Currently, Cara
is the Assistant Professor of Graduate
Psychology at the James Madison University. Her primary role at
James Madison University is with the Center for Faculty Innovation and it
connects with and supports the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning,
service-learning and off-campus engagement, leadership learning, and the
development and transition of early career faculty. Cara’s formal teaching
interests include leadership studies, organizational behavior, women’s studies
and qualitative theories and methodologies
