We recently offered an introduction to our perspective when, on August 23rd, PRW Learning Community Co-Convener,
Doug Hicks shared his views on commemorating the 10th anniversary of the events of 9/11. His remarks highlighted responses and responsibilities
we might undertake in service as leaders on this and similar occasions. ILA Members Members can access the webinar archive by signing in and navigating to eBenefits > Webinar Archive
or by clicking here and using your ILA credentials.
We look forward to seeing you in London and in our ILA Space group, and welcome hearing from you anytime!
Please check this section periodically for updates.
Philosophy, religion and worldviews touch the very core of human experience and address the assumptions people make about life. The
purpose of this new Learning Community is to promote a healthy understanding of the nexuses between philosophy, religion, worldviews
and leadership consistent with the ILA’s mission statement.
As members of the new ILA learning community, we desire to create and model a forum for people to
discuss the relationship between one’s core beliefs and leadership practices, candidly and graciously, for the purpose of
establishing critical crossroads and connections in a diverse society. We
encourage participation from all faith-based perspectives and worldviews to
foster multiple ways of learning.
We welcome suggestions from the ILA community and will have an ILA Space shortly to receive member suggestions. We encourage
participation as part of our members-driving member-benefits approach.
Learning Community activities are currently in development. In addition to an ILA Space area, we plan to have:
-
A blog;
-
Periodical calls via Skype or other virtual platform;
-
Meeting at large ILA events, such as the Global Conference;
-
Member-led initiatives.
We eagerly encourage volunteers to help us make
these and other activities happen.
