Martin Fitzgerald is currently an Associate Professor, Leadership and Management, Faculty of Business and Law at The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Martin has had a variety of experiences in his career, including senior executive and company directors' roles; the presidency of a national association;
and legal and academic positions. The most treasured experience, though, is the role he plays with colleagues in helping the next generation of scholars and leaders
develop into fuller more reflective citizens. If it were not for a knee injury that ended a professional soccer career in England at the age of 21,
Martin's life could have taken a very different path.
